Common questions

I'm not getting reminders

Check Settings → Notifications → Housekept and make sure Allow Notifications is on. In Housekept, the Settings tab shows whether reminders are on. Reminders arrive at 9am on the day a task is due, and if anything is overdue you'll get a summary on Saturday mornings. A Focus mode can also hold notifications back.

How do I mark a job done, or undo it?

Tap ✓ next to a task to mark it done today. To record an earlier date, open the task and tap Edit. To undo, open the task and long-press the entry in its history.

Why is a seasonal task scheduled for that month?

Seasonal jobs, like clearing gutters or winterizing outdoor faucets, are scheduled for the time of year they're needed. If you're in the southern hemisphere, turn on Southern hemisphere in the Settings tab so suggested tasks use your seasons. You can change any task's months by opening it and tapping Edit.

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget, search for Housekept, and choose the Up Next widget in small, medium or large.

How do I move my data to a new iPhone?

Your data is stored only on your iPhone. In the Settings tab, tap Export backup and save the file to iCloud Drive or Files. On your new iPhone, install Housekept and tap Restore from backup. Restoring replaces everything currently in the app, and backups include your photos.

What does Housekept Pro include?

Unlimited appliances (the free version includes 3), photos of model labels, receipts and manuals, and warranty reminders 30 days before coverage ends. Pro is available monthly, yearly, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.

I bought Pro but it isn't unlocked

Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy it, then tap Restore purchases in the Settings tab or on the Pro screen.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions → Housekept. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. For refunds, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I delete my data?

Delete tasks or appliances in the app, or delete the app to remove all of its data from your iPhone. We don't keep a copy. See the Privacy Policy for details.
